<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One day, as I was working in the copy room at my old high school, I was eavesdropping on a conversation between two teachers. Well, actually it wasn't technically eavesdropping because they were fully aware I could hear everything they were saying and there was no way I could not not listen to their conversation (yep, intentional double negative).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyways!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of these teachers was my English teacher, and the other teacher was some random dude that I will probably never know what his name is.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The conversation went a little like this:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>English teacher:</b> Hey (random dude's name that I can't for the life of me remember), what are your plans for spring break?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Random dude:</b> Nothing. Probably just lots of naps.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>English teacher:</b> Good, good. Naps are one of the most underrated things in this world. That, and chocolate milk.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Don't ask me why, but this extremely random conversation has stuck with me. I didn't think anything of it as I was making copies at the time, but why would I? Everything that came out of my teachers mouth was like this nugget of wisdom. I seriously would not be surprised if he stayed up all night writing fortune cookies as a side job.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But, I continued thinking about what he said and I realized that, wow, there are so many things that slip through my grasp in life because I simply don't give them the appreciation that I should. I don't mean the big things because I absolutely appreciate those. I mean the little things that I truly enjoy, but I don't really realize it while its happening.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, thank you Mr. H for inspiring this beautiful thought I have enjoyed entertaining.</div>

<br />
<b><u>About Me</u>:</b><br />
The summer before my senior year in high school, I found out I had an eating disorder. It sounds so weird to say it that way. I "found out" I had an eating disorder. Truth is, I didn't know the way I ate and thought about myself was unhealthy. As a teenage girl, I grew up surrounded by comments like "Does this make me look fat?" and "I'm not eating carbs this week. I'm trying to lose 3 pounds." I thought the way I ate and the way I viewed myself was normal.<br />
<div>
I'm so glad I found out I was wrong.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have Binge Eating Disorder. BED is a disorder where a person eats large quantities of food in a short amount of time to the point where they feel so full they feel sick, but instead of purging/over-exercising to get rid of the food, they go into this depressed and angry state because they feel out of control.</div>
<div>
Here are some websites that have great information about Binge Eating Disorder:</div>

<br /></div>
<div>
It's taken me a long time to be able to look at myself in the mirror and see myself as beautiful. I still struggle with it.</div>
<div>
That's why I have started this blog. I want to inspire people to be strong and confident. I want to recreate what society deems "perfect." Screw "perfect." It doesn't exist. I want to promote confidence, strength, happy minds, and healthy bodies, because, honestly, there can never be too much joy spread in this world. There just can't</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
While I was in the process of writing this first post on Simply Sunny Days, I came across this video.</div>

<div>
<a href="http://youtu.be/kcSnUaGfm-A" target="_blank">What Do You See When You Look In The Mirror</a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I see beauty.<br />
I see happiness.<br />
I see me, and I am damn proud in who I have become.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
What do you see?</div>
